dr n. med. Włodzimierz Zych

Graduated from the Medical University of Warsaw in 1987. Holds a second-degree specialization in internal medicine and gastroenterology. In 1994, was awarded a doctorate in medical sciences.

From 2000 to 2013, served as head of the gastroenterology sub-unit at the Oncological Gastroenterology Clinic of the Centre of Oncology.

Treasurer of the Warsaw Branch of the Polish Society of Gastroenterology and member of the Board of the Polish Gastroenterology Foundation.

Areas of clinical interest: liver diseases, in particular hepatology, metabolic diseases, gastrointestinal cancers, and standard endoscopic procedures of the upper and lower gastrointestinal tract.

Author and co-author of publications and book chapters in internal medicine and gastroenterology. Has served as director and investigator of numerous research projects concerning liver diseases, and as supervisor of specialization training in internal medicine and gastroenterology.
