Graduated from the 2nd Faculty of Medicine at the Medical University of Warsaw, and completed postgraduate studies in management at the Warsaw School of Economics. Specialist in general surgery and oncological surgery. Training in oncological surgery in Japan, France, the Netherlands, Italy, South Korea, Germany, and Norway.
Deputy Head of the Clinic and Head of Ward I at the Clinic of Surgery of Gastrointestinal Cancers and Neuroendocrine Tumours at the Maria Skłodowska-Curie National Research Institute of Oncology in Warsaw.
Author or co-author of over 60 scientific publications with a combined Impact Factor of over 120 points, and author of book chapters on nutrition in cancer, hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC), and pancreatic surgery. For 17 years, has served as supervisor of the Medical University of Warsaw student scientific society. Co-organizer of 12 scientific conferences.
Specializes in surgery of gastrointestinal cancers (oesophagus, pancreas, stomach, and colorectum), including minimally invasive approaches. Particular areas of interest include clinical nutrition in oncological disease and peritoneal cancer surgery (HIPEC).
