Graduated with distinction from the Faculty of Medicine at the Medical University of Warsaw in 2005.

Since 2006, has been working at the National Cancer Institute in Warsaw. From 2015 to 2024, headed the Department of Cancer Prevention. Since 2018, heads the Endoscopy Laboratory of the Oncological Gastroenterology Clinic; appointed Institute Professor in 2018 and Full Professor in 2023. Also employed at the Clinic of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Oncology of the Centre of Postgraduate Medical Education, and as a scientific consultant in the Department of Health Management and Health Economics at the University of Oslo, Norway.

Prof. Kamiński specializes in endoscopic resections (ESD, EMR, EID) of large gastrointestinal lesions — tumours and large polyps; patients with oesophageal diseases including achalasia, oesophageal and gastric motility disorders (gastroparesis); Zenker's diverticulum — POEM and Z-POEM procedures; qualification for biliary tract procedures (ERCP — endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography), particularly complex cases following failures at other centres; Barrett's oesophagus — especially with dysplasia and early cancer, using resection methods including EMR and ESD, and ablative techniques; and genetically determined polyposis syndromes — FAP (familial adenomatous polyposis), HNPCC (Lynch syndrome, hereditary non-polyposis colorectal cancer), and other more complex syndromes.

Prof. Kamiński also manages patients in borderline cases between endoscopic and surgical treatment, and performs interventions to restore nutritional capacity, including the placement of feeding gastrostomies.

In recognition of his work, he serves as head of the quality section of the Polish Society of Gastroenterology (PTGE), Chancellor of the European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ESGE), and head of the European colorectal cancer screening committee of the World Endoscopy Organization (WEO). He is also the scientific director of the most comprehensive endoscopy workshop in Central and Eastern Europe, Warsaw Live Endoscopy (www.wlendoscopy.pl).

At the Polish Gastroenterology Foundation, Prof. Kamiński consults patients requiring intermediate and major endoscopic procedures for neoplastic and non-neoplastic gastrointestinal diseases.

In addition to endoscopy, is involved in colorectal cancer screening, serving as co-coordinator of the Colorectal Cancer Screening Programme in Poland.
